'A Suriani Feast' is a celebration of traditional food from the Syrian Christians of Kerala in India, which are featured in the bestselling cookbook memoir The Kerala Kitchen by Lathika George. Featured on Oprah's O magazine and winner of a Gourmand World Cookbook award, the book is the inspiration for this special event. This unique dinner features a delicious menu that showcases the culinary riches of this community; as curated by George, who will be visiting from India to present it to guests.

The Kerala Kitchen is a modern classic in the world of international cookbooks and a favorite for many. Its new and expanded edition has a foreword by one of its enthusiasts: Abraham Verghese, author of the blockbuster novel The Covenant of Water. The novel features many of the book's traditional recipes - these dishes are showcased in elaborate meals prepared in smoky kitchens like that of Verghese's grandmothers and aunts. While writing the novel, Verghese relied on the author of The Kerala Kitchen as “a resource for anything related to food”.
